Worcester Realtor Diane Casey Luong Receives National Homes for Heroes Award

I’m Honored to Receive the 2024 Homes for Heroes Outstanding Service Award

I’m thrilled—and honestly still a little speechless—to share that I’ve been named a recipient of the 2024 Homes for Heroes Outstanding Service Award. This national recognition is given to just three affiliates across the entire country, and I’m so incredibly honored to be among them.

As many of you know, I’ve been proudly working with Homes for Heroes for several years. It’s more than a program—it’s a mission. Homes for Heroes was created after 9/11 with a single goal in mind: to give back to the everyday heroes who serve and protect our communities. That includes firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, military personnel (active, reserve, and veterans), healthcare professionals, and teachers.

Through this program, I’m able to provide real, meaningful savings at the closing table for the heroes I work with—and most importantly, I get to say thank you in a way that goes beyond words.

I’ve been blessed to work with dozens of amazing heroes here in Central Massachusetts—many of whom have become lifelong friends. Whether it’s helping a nurse find her dream home, a veteran buy his very first house, or a teacher sell and relocate for a better opportunity, every experience reminds me why I do this.

Receiving this award is a moment I’ll never forget. Here’s what Abby Walz, Executive Director of Homes for Heroes, shared with me when I was notified:

Reading those words brought tears to my eyes. I never set out to win awards—I just wanted to serve the people who serve us. But being recognized in this way, especially by an organization I believe in so deeply, is humbling and energizing.

I also want to thank every single hero I’ve had the privilege of working with. This award is as much yours as it is mine. Your dedication to others inspires me every single day.
