Hero Rewarded, Congratulations Maureen!
What a week!
The real estate market in central Massachusetts is ON FIRE!
But…the most rewarding part of my job is helping HEROES get their REWARDS!
Homes for Heroes
Back in February of 2020, I signed on to be a certified affiliate of Homes for Heroes. It’s been an incredibly “rewarding” experience and I am so glad that I did it.
Homes for Heroes was established shortly following the tragic events of 9/11 as a way to give back and say “Thank You” to our nation’s heroes. We are the largest nationwide network of affiliate real estate agents, lenders, and local businesses providing easy ways for heroes to save significant money when buying, selling, or refinancing a home; or when making everyday home-related purchases.
So, if a client meets the heroes rewards criteria, they get paid back a healthy percentage of their transaction total at closing.
Yes…it’s that easy.
You do the work of a true community hero and you are rewarded at closing.
Maureen is an Awesome Teacher
Here’s an example that just happened last week.
My client Maureen bought a brand new house. She worked with me and I represented her on the purchase. Maureen is a teacher so she qualified for a “buyer reward” at closing.
$2,502.24! A check. AT CLOSING. No strings, no fine print. Take the check, cash it, spend it on whatever you like.
NICE.
It gets better.
Maureen also hired me as her listing agent on her current home.
Yep…you guessed it.
We sold that house.
Maureen got a SWEET COMMISSION CREDIT at THAT closing for $1,859.53.
That’s a total CASH SAVINGS to Maureen of $4,361.77 for both transactions.
Why?
Givers gain. The Law of Abundance. Positivity begets positivity. Karma. Because I can.
Those are all good reasons to do ANYTHING good.
Look, people who do the hardest jobs in our community spend very little time reviewing all of the positive feedback that they get. Most of the time, they only hear the complaints. The arm-chair quarterbacking. THE BACKSEAT DRIVER INPUT.
And that’s ok.
It’s part of the deal and they get that.
But, if Homes For Heroes is about ANYTHING it’s about the recognition that these folks deserve a bit more gratitude.
So since I can help with that…I do.
Buying a new home and selling an existing home is stressful, expensive at times, and exhausting. My job is to eliminate as much of those stresses as I can. Homes For Heroes gives me an outlet to say “thank you” and “you rock” while handing good people a nice reward.
And I love every second of it.
